Chef is a mentor. Not only to his staff, but also to those he serves. He loves ingredients that have a story. Presented in an interesting fashion, his hope that this knowledge spreads and stimulates further study by those he works with. Much of this is done through Interactive-Instructional Cooking Classes.
Chef Bart and Black’s Market Table are also proud winners of the 2018 Edible Houston Hero Awards. Based on votes from the public he was able to win as Chef and Restaurant. The “hero” designates one who hero’s local. In chef’s opinion the farmers are the heroes… not him!
